This post is all about the best work from home desk accessories.
Gathering some fun and functional desk accessories is a great way to create inspiration for your work from home journey. These work from home desk essentials have been a huge help to me with starting a small business at home this past year.
By no means are any of these products necessary for your work from home journey. If you’ve got internet and maybe a regular old composition notebook to take some notes, you can start your own business from home.
These are just the best work from home accessories that I’ve invested in that I have actually found useful in helping me stay organized and creating a cozy work from home office setup that makes me excited to come to work everyday (and by “come to work” I mean make my way downstairs to my office.)
Hopefully you’ll find something on this list that speaks to you and will help you with your own cozy home office setup!
So with that being said, here are all of the best work from home desk accessories that you don’t really NEED but will really level up your work from home setup!
Here are the best work from home desk accessories.
Wrist Support Mousepad / Keyboard Support
As someone with frequent wrist pain, working at my computer all day was causing my wrist pain to flare even more than normal. This wrist support mousepad and keyboard wrist rest really alleviate some of my wrist pain and make working at my desk more comfortable! It’s soft and arched up a bit in the middle to support your wrist while you’re using your mouse.
They also come in tons of different colors and patterns so you can customize it to fit your own work from home desk setup.
You can check out the wrist-supporting mousepad here!
And here’s the link where you can get a matching mousepad AND a keyboard wrist support pad.
Daily/Weekly To-Do List Notepad
This specific notepad has been a LIFESAVER for me! I personally like to plan my days one at a time while keeping just a general idea of what content I need to complete week by week. This daily to-do list notepad is straightforward and has the perfect layout for planning my everyday tasks. I also found a similar to-do list notepad with a weekly layout for those of you that like to see your whole week at a glance!
Phone/Tablet Stand
This phone/tablet stand has been really useful to me and it was a cheap investment. You can adjust the height and the phone rest piece is also adjustable so you can adjust the angle of your phone. I am often looking back and forth between my computer and my phone or tablet so having a stand to put it on to make it more at eye level has been extremely helpful.
Not that it’s SO incredibly difficult to look at my phone if it’s laying flat on the desk ;) Like I said, these desk accessories are not absolutely necessary, but they have made my work from home desk setup a lot more functional.
I couldn’t find the exact one I have but here’s the link to a very similar one!
Desk Organizer - Rotating Pen Holder
Super helpful! Keeps all of your pens, scissors, highlighters, and whatever else all organized in once place. Enough said about that.
Calculator
I do a lot of calculations, specifically when working on pricing my items for my Etsy shop and figuring out profits, production costs, etc. I used to use the calculator on my phone to do all this (and sometimes I still do) and it works perfectly fine! I just prefer to have a calculator at my desk to do calculations a bit quicker. Plus it’s really cute.
You can check out this calculator here!
It comes in plenty of colors and there’s a larger version with extra fancy calculator keys on it if that’s more your jam.
Planner (Happy Planner)
I go through phases of using my planner consistently, I’ll be honest. But I’ve definitely found myself using this planner more than any other! I really like the vertical layout of this planner. Planner layout is totally personal preference, but this has worked really well for me! I also have found the monthly page to be useful when setting goals and overall plans for the month.
A specific detail of this planner that I love is the disc binding. I included a picture of this below so you can see it a little better. Most planners I’ve used in the past have the metal spiral binding, which I really dislike. I can’t tell you how many pages I’ve ripped because they got stuck in the binding. A lot of the times those planners won’t lay flat either or the pages will completely come undone from the binding. It’s a small detail but I really enjoy that part of this planner!
Sony Noise Canceling Headphones
Totally not necessary. BUT having shared the same office space with my husband (who often talks loudly to his friends while playing World of Warcraft) for a few years, these have really come in handy! The noise canceling really is top notch.
Here’s the link for the headphones!
PRO TIP: add them to one of your “lists” on Amazon and wait until they go on sale. Amazon will notify you of items on your list that go on sale. I’ve saved so much money this way!
Paper Basket
This is the paper basket I use for all of my physical papers! I linked a stacked version of this paper basket that is similar if you have more papers you need organized. I just personally don’t have that many physical things that I need to keep organized since most of my work documents are digital. But if you have more papers you need to organize, the stacked organizer could be really useful for you!
The gold really adds a modern chic feel to my desk - I love the simple sleek look.
Mini Desktop Vacuum Cleaner
YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED THIS! Just kidding. But, this has been a nice additional to my work from home desk setup. Plus it’s kinda fun when I need a quick break from staring at my computer screen.
Foot Rest
One of those products you didn’t know you needed (and really you still don’t.)
I am one of those people who sits crisscrossed on their chair 70% of the time. Also I’m only 5’2” so my toes are just skimming the ground when I sit at my desk chair. Sure I could lower my chair but then I’d be looking up at my computer monitor because of how my desk is set up.
Ideally in the future, I’ll adjust my desk setup so this isn’t an issue but for now this was a much cheaper alternative! This footrest is honestly one of my favorite things in my home office. Reasonably priced and it gets a ton of use!
There ya have it! Those all of the best work from home desk accessories that you absolutely 100% don’t need but that can make your work from home life a little bit easier (and more fun!) Let me know if you try any of these out or if you have your own recommendations that we can add to this list!
